Having seen the potential in smoked
salmon, Geoffrey, Josephine and their three sons Richard, David and Martin
spent a holiday in Orford to learn how to smoke salmon and also to see how
the smokers Richard Pinney had built, operated. These smokers are the
traditional smoking kilns. Once Geoffrey and Josephine had learnt all
they could the family returned to Edburton, West Sussex and built their own
kilns which are designed to burn oak logs. At the same time they
converted an old forge into premises to work from and Springs Smoked Salmon
was born.
The forge has since been converted into a
luxurious seafood oasis containing over 200 different seafood lines plus an
extensive range of delicatessen products. Customers travel from far
and wide to visit this Aladdin's cave tucked away in the quaint little
village of Edburton....
But now thanks to Mrs Julie Harris you
can have the gourmet smoked salmon along with some of the other delicious
products delivered to your door! |
